My choice of work gives me the remarkable privilege of meeting with some of the most dynamic leaders in my community. These are people to whom self-improvement is an unwavering state of mind. They never feel they have learned enough. They are curious, life-long learners, open to the world around them and to the opportunity to make a difference. My passion is to serve them by helping them succeed; to help them find their own authentic voice.
I came to coaching and TEC from a background of running my own Marketing Consulting practice, Train of Thoughts. If I had known how much fun it would be, I might have started earlier. Prior to that, I held a number of senior executive positions, specializing in the field of Marketing.
I brought my family to Ottawa in the mid 90’s and still live in rural Ottawa although the children have mostly transitioned to independent lives now. My wife, of almost 30 years, works in the local non-profit world.
I am the immediate past chair of the Ottawa Community Foundation, an organization dedicated to connecting local philanthropists with local causes that are important to them. Some years ago, I also chaired the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and enjoyed the chance to help shape one of the City’s leading business organizations.
Creative writing, yoga, movies and gardening are pastimes I enjoy.
CPCC - I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach and a member of the ICF (International Coaching Federation).
